Stanley 95-155 3-in-1 Tripod LED Flashlight
Stanley 95-155 3-in-1 Tripod LED Flashlight Review

I wanted this flashlight for the longest time and I’m glad I finally bought this Stanley 95-155 3-in-1 LED Flashlight.
I was tired with the old model flashlights that I had as I could never direct the light where I needed it.
Now with this Great Stanley 95-155 3-in-1 LED Flashlight it’s so simple to point the light on areas where I need it, Plus it being an LED I get a Brighter and Longer lasting Flashlight and it stands on it’s own Tri-Pod making it Hands Free. With the extra two LED lights that detatch from it, I have Three flashlights in One.
Thanks Stanley for making a Wonderful and Practical LED Flashlight and Thanks to Amazon.com for carrying this Product
at a Great Price.

Bosch 4100-09 10-Inch Worksite Table Saw with Gravity-Rise Stand
Bosch 4100-09 10-Inch Worksite Table Saw with Gravity-Rise Stand Review

I bought this saw at Lowe’s as I needed it quick for a finish job.
One thing that wasn’t too cool was the misquotes on tool sizes to put it together. It called for 10 and 16 mm wrenches and actually needed 13 and 17 mm, f.y.i. Keep that in mind when you get ready to put it together, and instead of wrenches ONLY, get a wrench and socket ready in both sizes. Other than that, the saw went together easily.
Using the saw is fairly easy, and if you keep in mind it is a jobsite saw, and not a cabinet shop grade saw, you won’t be disappointed at all.
Accuracy of the tape on the table is awesome, no need to measure except for setting the indicator. The fence stays square to the blade all the way across. Take about 5 minutes though, and use some paste wax on both rails where the fence rides, and wipe it off after it dries, otherwise the fence will chatter when you move it into position.
One person on here griped about the magnifying indicator on the fence guide. Why whine? This makes it even easier to read. I don’t get the whining about that. It’s senseless.
The gravity rise is a nice feature, I also have the 4212-L miter saw with gravity rise. This makes the saw easy to transport and load. I have a Chevy Express van, and it loads up easily, and unloads easily. BTW, one guy showed me how “easy” his ridgid table saw folded up…the bosch has it beat by a mile.
Performance was nice, although I expected more power according to some of the reviews on here, but I have to say it didn’t bog down ripping some hardwood for a crown molding shelf cap and also some 2×4’s for a nailer that I ripped down then angled. Not a problem, they all ripped nicely and no jamming. Keep in mind you won’t be able to shove wood through it like a shop saw or tree shredder, but you can take your time and do a nice, accurate, quality job.
Some people whined about the dust. It’s a table saw. They make saw dust. I hooked up my ridgid vacuum to it and it cut it down significantly and kept it minimal.
Also, I used the stock blade with this saw. You know how stock blades rate, they’re not going to send you a forrest blade with 400 teeth, but I am certain another blade would add tremendously to the speed and finish of cuts. I’ll get a blade when this one gives up, or when I need one with a finer cut.
Raising and lowering the blade is a cinch. Adjusting bevels is a little awkward, as the weight of the motor sends it to an angle when you loosen the lock to make an adjustment. I’m sure they could work on that, but it would add more weight to the unit no doubt.
One person mentioned using the miter gage to push wood through. Uh, there’s a pusher on the back of the saw.
The safety mechanisms are very easy to install and remove, both on the work surface and in storage. Keep them with you in case OSHA comes on the job looking for a cash donation.
I can’t complain and I give this saw 5 stars. It is a well thought out saw and stand combo. It sets up easy, and looks professional on the job. I highly recommend it. It’s nice to have 2 high quality machines that set up, transport, and cut very accurately and add to the professional level of my craft.
FastCap PS 25 Old Standby 25 Foot Tape
FastCap PS 25 Old Standby 25 Foot Tape Review

As an amateur furniture maker, wood worker and general DIY guy I do not put excessive stress on my tools, but I do know what I like and don’t like.
I like this tape measure.
Pros:
It is easy to hold as it is not as bulky as most of the other tape measures I have used. It is easy to read, the black on white tape is easier for me to read than black on yellow. It is easy to use, the double tape brake (top and bottom) make it much easier to use one handed. And finally, it is a great value at half the price of the other top brands.
Cons:
The top brake will quickly remove the paint on the top of the tape in two narrow lines. It does not imped reading measurements but it’s not pretty either. As others will tell you the standout on this tape is only about 6 to 8 feet, it does not bother me but if you do a lot of framing it may bother you.
When Amazon starts to carry the 16′ model of this tape I will buy it as well. I will also be getting the 16′ story pole version of this tape as well.
Update:
After using this tape measure on several DIY jobs I have found one more thing I really like about it. Some reviews of other FastCap tape measures have complained that the return spring was too strong. I have noticed that this extra spring strength allows you to hook the tape measure to a horizontal piece of stock. I was working with a lot of plywood and needed to make several measurements. I found that I could hook the foot at one end, extend the tape the full width of the plywood and the spring would let the body act as another foot. Both of my hands where free to mark. I do not know if this is intended or not, but it has made my life easier.

Stanley 94-248 65-piece General Homeowner’s Tool Set
Stanley 94-248 65-piece General Homeowner’s Tool Set Review

I bought this kit to keep in the house and avoid having to run to my larger tool chest in the garage when I need a couple of basic tools. In general, the tool quality is good for general household use, and I really only have two complaints about the kit.
The first that is that the ratchet is basically junk (but what can you really expect for ?). It’s O.K. for light duty work, but don’t expect to crank on it very hard without it breaking. If you think you’ll need this tool often, consider buying a higher quality ratchet and socket kit.
The other issue that I have is that there are no wrenches included in the kit. I plan on picking up a cheap crescent wrench to add to mine. (Come on, Stanley, increase the price a few bucks if you have to, but make this a complete kit by adding a crescent wrench!)
Finally, the plastic box that the tools come in is nice from the standpoint of being able to quickly locate a tool, but the box takes up a lot of storage space. I bought a small tool bag to keep the tools in, and I found it more convenient. You have to look a little closer to find the tool you want with the bag, but there aren’t enough pieces in this kit to create problems finding tools.
Zircon 59599 iLine Wall Laser Level
Zircon 59599 iLine Wall Laser Level Review

I have to disagree with the prior reviewer’s comments. I purchased this product and can say that it DOES work as advertised. When you first place it on the wall, the auto-leveling mechanism kicks-in and the laser oscillates up and down until it levels (1-2 seconds). You then need to tap it gently to ensure it is level — something you also need to do if you move the unit from its original position. When I double-checked my work with a spirit level, it was dead-on.
Second, I find the size and weight of the iLine to be minimal, especially as compared to other auto-leveling lasers. I used a B&D Bullseye this weekend, and can say that it is heavier, more awkward, and the laser less visible than the iLine.
With regards to the pushpin, most such products use pushpins to secure the unit to the wall (except a version of the StraightLine, which does not auto-level). The hole is small, and can be easily touched-up. While the iLine pin does not line up with the laser line, you can easily compensate for this by moving the unit so that the laser line is where you want it.
As a DIYer, I find the iLine to be a great product that is very useful and am glad that I purchased it.
Komelon SS125SS Gripper 25-Foot Stainless Steel Measuring Tape
Komelon SS125SS Gripper 25-Foot Stainless Steel Measuring Tape Review

I was on my way to a client’s house to measure for new furniture when I realized my Stanley tape measure wasn’t in the car. I quickly ran into the nearest hardware store and grabbed the first tape measure I saw. Thank heaven it was this one!!! I will never go back to my Stanley.
It reels in and out as smooth as silk, is very easy to read, and is printed in the traditional horizontal manner on the front and VERTICALLY on the back. Why aren’t all tape measures made like this? No more tilting your head to the side when measuring a vertical surface to read the notches! And for remedial math “wizards” like me, they have printed both the total inches and the conversion to feet for every inch (ex. 76″ and 6′4″).
It’s smaller and lighter than my Stanley too. I’m afraid my Stanley has become the backup, though I think if I ever lose my Komelon, I’ll simply have to buy another.
