I’ve owned a couple other jig/scroll saws. The one prior to this, I *thought* was the best. It is still a very fine saw, however that brand (P.C.) has “bayonet” style blades – they are very difficult to find, and IMPOSSIBLE to find locally. It seems you can go anywhere and buy the traditional “universal” or “T” shank blades such as Bosch uses. Not the “bayonet” style though!

I cannot be on a job site and need a blade, for which there is no local supplier.

All that said, this is now the *BEST* jig saw I have ever owned. It is a bit heavier that the previous saws, but it is the BEST. You can purchase an optional rip guide, which I will be buying. The ease of removing and re-inserting the blade is almost unbelieveable. Practically vibration free, the easiest to set up, and the finest blades available are made by Bosch.

Don’t even screw around with the others. Buy this one and be done with it!
